The quest to buy a PDP was originally a one-off goal; however on of the members of the group was an accounting major who successfully brought home the concept of the power of compound interest. Rather than closing out the fund they continue building it up even after the original purchases are made -- with a tradition forming of only spending the interest outside of emergencies.
