Taking the time for a woohoo! Sure the php file I put together was only a few steps above the infamous "Hello World!" program introductory texts make people start with, but I put it together myself.
A nice simple file. It grabbed the date and converted it to a string in a user-defined format (So it read, "Wednesday, 7 January"). Then some regular HTML. Then built a bullet list from the contents of an array. Finally finishing off the web page with a simple math demonstration (showing that the square of 123 is 15129).
But that does make it the first bit of PHP that wasn't simply hand copied out of a book.
Today: Simple demonstration programs
Next Week: Slightly more interesting demonstration programs
Next Month: ? (To be determined)
Next Year: $$$$!
(Hey! What the... did I just see a gnome? :) )
