On the next ComputerBallZ...

Okay lame joke. Howevever a recent slashdot article pointed to this page showing off a "computer in a ball" being offered in Japan.

Can we organize a shopping trip to Japan? =^.^=

My sentiments exactly.

All the nifty stuff is over there...

Maybe we can get the Japanese government to sponsor it. "Hey, there are a lot of tech geeks in the US who would just love to spend their hard earned savings over there. Just spot us a few translators, help with getting cheap seats on the plane."

I can dream can't I?

If I can find the link again, about a month ago a coworker and I discovered a page showing off an adapter that was for sale that would let you put two laptop style slimline CD/DVD drives into a single 5.25 inch bay. Complete with a data/power adapters.

Giggle, why do I suddenly get the picture of a hoard of us over there, sketching out drawings of DVD drives, trying to figure out how to draw "quad xeon server", and also drawing pictures of anime characters. "DVDs, manga, shirts, anything with this character on them..."

you have *obviously* never been to Japan. TRUST me, you're fears are vastly over rated. Carlos is a Japanese major, A--- & Theresa have both traveled in Japan, I used to lived there and have studied that infernal language for 4 years on top of that. I'm sure there are other THEMers who have also been there. My brother had no problems and he thought Jar-Jar was speaking Spanish throughout Episode 1!!!
