Battles free of political and social ramifications

Ever notice how in Magical Girl or other hidden-power struggle anime there rarely seems to be any political ramifications to the battles? There can be a huge massive explosion in the Sea of Japan, or a mile wide magic circle can appear in the sky over a major city, and what happens?

Well the battle at hand happens. After that? Maybe a, "Hey, did you see that flash of light last night?" But rarely an article on the front page of the next day's paper headlined, "U.N. Security Council Demands Answers" or "Was It Nuclear? Scientists Say No Radiation."

The men in black must work massive overtime hours in magical girl universes.

Could just be a random case of Invisible To Normals.

Thank you for introducing me to that wiki. I'm going to have to pass it on to a few others.

You know, I've been meaning to post about that for months now. I don't think I'm even halfway through reading it, there's just so much there.

Sure. Get yourself known and start posting. That's what I did - you'll see me listed under YYZ. There's a couple of well-known writers working there too, under pseudonyms.
