chaypeta and jeriendhal. I picked twelve current and past RP characters of mine.
1. Who would make a better college professor, 6(Tomasso) or 11(Liou)?
Ouch. I would feel sorry for anyone who got either. Tomasso, in his quest for vengeance against organized crime, took three scenarios in game time, and probably over a year of actual time to admit that the cyborg girl in his care was more than a weapon. If he treated his classes the way he treated Gema, then it would be other professors students who would get to see the most of his human side, while his own students got mostly strictly by the book treatment. Liou on the other hand is a guy who got in such a snit as a kid about being sent to boarding school that he cut off relations with his family. He has the knowledge to be a professor, but only those students who become favorites would get more than the minimum required attention. He would favor those who did well, and politely look down on those who didn't.
2. Do you think #2(Kaleth) is hot? How hot?
Hot, no. Cute if he dresses for it, but not hot. Face it, a short fuzzy guy who leaves people wondering exactly what variety of animal he reminds them of, is not going to do well in a hotness contest. Unless you want him to make something hot. Then he can probably find some flares, canned camp fuel, or a blowtorch somewhere in his supplies.
3. 12(Edward Françoise Li) sends 8(Takahashi Tomi) on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Well, once Ed stops giggling at the poor boy who obviously had body sculpting inflicted on him after his parents watched too much anime, he would order Tomi not to hide his ears or tail and send him out as a distraction. If Ed was trying to keep Titus distracted then this might not work to well. Titus keeps following Ed around because he thinks the mechanical genius is a girl, he isn't generally interested in boys. On the other hand Tomi could probably attract enough attention to gather a crowd to slow down Titus. Or Tomi could challenge the Pegasus's security staff to a game of 'tag', which Ed could then volunteer Titus to help with. That should give everyone plenty of exercise, especially since no one will be likely to believe Tomi can really perform magic.
4. What is or would be 9's(Veronica) favorite book?
Depending on her mood it would either be: 1, The Prince of Pasta, a children's book collectively written by the original members of the Social Welfare Agency. 2, the SWA's inventory list of weapons, for you can never carry too many hidden surprises. Never. Veronica went into a raid carrying a shotgun, sub-machinegun, a pair of pistols, nearly a dozen knives (half dozen throwing knives, a combat knife, a few generic blades, and a bayonet), and her ever-present secret from everyone silver fork. She still complained about being sent in under equiped. Or these days most likely number 3, the notebook in which she keeps a record of the demerits she has given the other cyborgs and staff and the latest instructions from her handler SWA Section 2, Director Panini. Probably either 2 or 3 depending on whether her post head-shot imbalance has her seeing Tito as her no-nonsense handler and task master, or as ominous father who is to be obeyed and kept from being angry. But anyone without security clearance will be told answer number 1.
5. Would it make more sense for 2(Kaleth) to swear fealty to 6(Tomasso), or the other way around?
Tomasso would not swear fealty to Kaleth. Tomasso is loyal to his idealized image of Italy, and Kaleth is quite obviously either a cyborg created by a rival organization or if truly an alien he is an agent of a foreign power. So in Tomasso's eyes Kaleth is either a target to be destroyed or captured for study, or at best a foreigner who has entered the country most likely illegally since he has not heard of any aliens requesting to set up embassy's anywhere on Earth.
Kaleth is just as loyal to his own homeland. But, might form a temporary alliance with the SWA agents to take on terrorists or other ne'er-do-wells. But it would be an uneasy alliance once he realized the cyborgs were not simply short humans but brainwashed and cyborgized kids.
6. For whatever reason, 5(Simon Pepelu) is looking for a roommate. Should 5(Simon) share a studio apartment with 9(Veronica) or with 10(Monty)?
Simon is mentally flexible (read: to all appearances insane) enough that he would probably enjoy sharing a room with Veronica and tweaking her attempts to be in charge. As a defacto space pirate he has developed rather a bit of skill at not being shot or stabbed, so he would probably stand a better chance of surviving being her roommate than many others. On the other hand while Monty is also a cyborg assassin employed by the same agency, he would much more willing to play with Simon than the other kids. Just so long as Simon never made a threatening move towards Doctor Arcangelo.
7. 2(Kaleth), 7(Ricardo), and 12(Edward Françoise Li) have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Edward: Oh! I know the perfect Italian place. The colony is occupied by the enemy at the moment, but their chicken fettuccine Alfredo is wonderful. The even use real chicken and Parmesan cheese! Expensive, but worth every bit of your month's salary.
Ricardo: Anything but Amah's mystery meat stew or doctored up Weird But Tasty(TM).
Kaleth: What the heck, I'm supposed to be learning about foreign cultures. If my bank card works I'll spring for the Alfredo dish.
Ricardo and Edward will probably talk about being chased after by people who don't want to take no for an answer about sex. Ed and Kaleth about all sorts of technical issues, possibly causing a disturbance in the restaurant when Ed talks Kaleth into pulling out his Not-Quite-Nanites home experiment kit. Ricardo would probably start pumping Kaleth for information about taking care of kids after discovering the strange looking guy is from a large family.
8. 3(Verdi) challenges 10(Monty) to a duel. What happens?
Short answer: Verdi dies. Monty is a cyborg assassin with nasty hand to hand skills, while Verdi is a shy Cyantian fox who is still getting used to the idea that he might not get in trouble for defending himself (despite several cycles of effort on the part of Lady Kalisa and her family). Mars Academy sends a note back to Lady Kalisa apologizing profusely for not realizing the cute human boy was A: not a native Cyantzium human, B: not one of the Earth humans being protected from the MIB, and especially C: Not realizing that the cute little boy was a highly trained assassin capable of using his bare hands to render Verdi dead before his body even hit the floor. If Monty was feeling merciful and playful then he might consider just utterly humiliating Verdi by letting everyone see him get a beating from a younger and smaller kid.
9. If 1(Pithani Uro) stole 8's(Takahashi Tomi) most precious possession, how would 8 get it back?
Pithani, shame on you! You're supposed to be a former juvenile delinquent! Tomi would probably not find it too difficult to handle. A simple search spell would probably find anything Pithani took, unless Pithani somehow got the assistance of some of the technomage students. Then it would be a contest of technomagery vs non-tech magic. Tomi would be willing to settle for simply proving Pithani was guilty and then turning him over to the Academy staff. Hard to say which would be worse for Pithani, facing his girlfriend who is a student member of security, or the possibility of being kicked out of the Academy and having to return home to face his family and the knowing looks of the neighbors.
10. Suggest a title for a story in which 7(Ricardo Nuncio) and 12(Edward Françoise Li) both attain what they most desire.

11. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4(Talyeth Riverbend) and 1(Pithani) to work together?
Either Talyeth would run into some sort of magic run amok, or Pithani into some technomage accident. If Talyeth was coming into the Cyantian/Mars Academy universe he would be fascinated to see mecha that did not use a combination of magic and steampunk engineering. And while he would also be surprised by the large mix of races, he would probably run into additional trouble by expecting the mounties to be similar to the catgirls of the Second Ragnarok universe.
Or we could have Pithani get pulled over to the Second Ragnarok universe. Where he would likely try to start figuring out if the Technomagery for Non-Technomages class he took would give him any advantage in figuring out how their magic/steampunk technology worked. So long as Pithani brought along his data slate he might even be able to push forward the hard-tech development of the SR world.
12. If 7(Ricardo Nuncio) visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Hmm. I could probably get along decently enough with Ricardo. At least once I let him know that he'd ended up on an alternate Earth that predated the one that invaded Terranova by a few centuries. Heck, if he doesn't have a problem with a former member of the Earth Colonial Expeditionary Force being in the group of gear racers he's with then he should have a problem with me.
13. If you could command 3(Verdi) to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Say, Verdi, do you think you could give my car's engine an overhaul? Surely if you can handle assisting with the maintenance of an aircar, a Chevrolet shouldn't be too much. "You claim to be my creator and you don't know why that isn't a good example to bring up?" "What? Your shorting out the aircar's entire electrical system? Nearly dieing in the act? Don't worry, the battery pack in this thing doesn't pack anywhere near as much capacity and it's really easy to disconnect." "Right. Ah, what the heck is that?" "An engine." "..." "An internal combustion engine. Runs on gasoline. A flammable liquid hydrocarbon." "..." "Too primitive?" "You do remember that I have barely any schooling, just years of mostly untaught apprenticeship... Wait... If you are my creator then you are responsible for my childhood, right?" "Ah. Did I say creator, no no, I admit it, I just spied on you and did a cross dimensional kidnapping... Ah, what are you planning to do with that wrench? Come on, you're too much of a coward to hit m-- AAAARGH! My car, my poor wretched, semi-dependable car! What are you doing to it!"
On second thought maybe I'll just ask him to make me one of his little carvings instead of fixing the car.
14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw anything regarding 11(Liou Siete-Vosom)?
Well, not LJ friends list. I think Silent Wayfarer probably has some ideas about what Karen and Liou could get up to, but the tutoring wouldn't be in math or engineering, and describing things might require putting an adult content warning on this post... Naughty guy, do you talk to your mother with that Instant Messenger? :p :)
15. If 2(Kaleth) had to choose sides between 4 (Tayleth) and 5(Simon Pepelu), which would it be?
Depends on the situation. As a (secretly) active member of his home world's Militia (basically the non-space portion of their military), Kaleth would not be willing to aid Simon in any acts of piracy. If Talyeth was on a mission then he would want to know what the mercenaries were up to. Simon does have the advantage of being closer in (lack of) height to Kaleth, but even the fluff might be put off by just how out and out bonkers Simon can get. He most certainly would not have approved of Simon's desire to try to convert a captured transport's fusion plant into the largest ever EMP device ("But it would be fun! Big boom! Big, big, really BIG BOOM! With a really big mag-flux!" "But if we were close enough to admire the explosion, wouldn't that be close enough for it to fry our ship's systems?" "Maybe. But would still be fun."). Yes, I think Kaleth would probably choose to head off with Tayleth.
16. What might 10(Monty) shout while charging into battle?
You do remember Monty is an assassin, right? A cute ten year old assassin. The only way he would be shouting while heading into battle was if it was somehow going to keep the target from attacking him. Maybe, "EEEEEEEEE! They've got guns! Where's Papa! Hide me, please hide me they're shooting people!" *thudthudcrunch* "Aww, bad guy fall down go boom. Boom? Oh hand grenades, bet Veronica would love those. Yay! Alfredo with Angelo tonight!"
17. If you chose a song to represent 8(Tomi), which song would you choose?
Well, one suggestion in the game was Stray Cat Strut. Of course considering that one of the Magical Girls on the team has music based powers, it would not be healthy for her to connect that song with him. "I don't care if you jumped grades, you're too young for that song!" Therefor to follow the Bujold rule of always figuring out what the worst thing to do to your characters is, and do it, this has to be his song.
18. 1(Pithani), 6(Tomasso), and 12(Edward) are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
*Ca-click* "Gema dear, if you shoot them you'll get blood on the table. Why don't I just cut it in four pieces."
"Yes, a very reasonable option."
"I agree, a quarter of a pancake is better than a few grams of lead."
"Good girl, no shooting dinner guests without permission. You may have a parfait for dessert."
Which reminds me. Poor Marina. That girl never did get to eat her parfait. And after that flashy fight with Veronica over whether she could try to rescue Henri...
19. What might be a good pick-up line for 2(Kaleth) to use on 10(Monty)?
Not going to happen. Kaleth does not have that kind of interest kids. The closest he would come is asking if Monty wanted to be liberated from the SWA and taken somewhere the agency couldn't reach him.
20. What would 5(Simon Pepelu) most likely be arrested for?
Piracy, network hacking, threatening to bite the arresting officers on the ankles if they didn't agree he was a good doggy, violation of culinary good taste (Brussel sprout ice cream?!)... Now technically he is already a prisoner of the pirates. He was only even discovered to be on the ship after leading the rest of the pirates on a wild chase around The Rabble Rouser, getting bored and sneaking in to surrender to the ship's catgirl. Considering that he always makes certain any catnip of the targets is turned over to Himiko, and her skill with the sword, no one has quite been willing to complain about his not having signed the ships charter.
21. What is 6's(Tomasso) secret?
That he really does care for Gema as more than just a tool. Something so secret that he still barely admits it to himself.
22. If 11(Liou) and 9(Veronica) were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Veronica. First off, Liou has a desk job and hasn't bothered to keep properly fit. Secondly, Veronica would be more than willing to make use of violence to win the race. Kind of hard to run when someone has shattered your kneecap or even just stuck a knife in your side.
23. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7(Ricardo) or 8(Tomi)?
Ricardo has a mecha, and if he couldn't bring that along a gun. On the other hand Tomi could always use some magic to make us invisible, run real fast, or even just put up a shield if all else failed. That and if someone attacked Tomi they'd soon be dealing with a ticked off fairy and gaggle of Magical Girls.
24. 1(Pithani) and 9(Veronica) reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's (Tayleth) sinister secret organization. 11 (Liou) volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he is actually a spy for 4(Tayleth). Meanwhile, 4(Tayleth) has kidnapped 12(Edward) in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5(Simon), they seek out 3(Verdi), who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fic?

You do remember Monty is an assassin, right? A cute ten year old assassin. The only way he would be shouting while heading into battle was if it was somehow going to keep the target from attacking him. Maybe, "EEEEEEEEE! They've got guns! Where's Papa! Hide me, please hide me they're shooting people!" *thudthudcrunch* "Aww, bad guy fall down go boom. Boom? Oh hand grenades, bet Veronica would love those. Yay! Alfredo with Angelo tonight!"

Well, one suggestion in the game was Stray Cat Strut. Of course considering that one of the Magical Girls on the team has music based powers, it would not be healthy for her to connect that song with him. "I don't care if you jumped grades, you're too young for that song!" Therefor to follow the Bujold rule of always figuring out what the worst thing to do to your characters is, and do it, this has to be his song.

Not going to happen. Kaleth does not have that kind of interest kids. The closest he would come is asking if Monty wanted to be liberated from the SWA and taken somewhere the agency couldn't reach him.

Piracy, network hacking, threatening to bite the arresting officers on the ankles if they didn't agree he was a good doggy, violation of culinary good taste (Brussel sprout ice cream?!)... Now technically he is already a prisoner of the pirates. He was only even discovered to be on the ship after leading the rest of the pirates on a wild chase around The Rabble Rouser, getting bored and sneaking in to surrender to the ship's catgirl. Considering that he always makes certain any catnip of the targets is turned over to Himiko, and her skill with the sword, no one has quite been willing to complain about his not having signed the ships charter.

That he really does care for Gema as more than just a tool. Something so secret that he still barely admits it to himself.

Veronica. First off, Liou has a desk job and hasn't bothered to keep properly fit. Secondly, Veronica would be more than willing to make use of violence to win the race. Kind of hard to run when someone has shattered your kneecap or even just stuck a knife in your side.
23. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7(Ricardo) or 8(Tomi)?
Ricardo has a mecha, and if he couldn't bring that along a gun. On the other hand Tomi could always use some magic to make us invisible, run real fast, or even just put up a shield if all else failed. That and if someone attacked Tomi they'd soon be dealing with a ticked off fairy and gaggle of Magical Girls.
