They will anyway. Either one of them will if they win. But you know what, at this point they are a mere 3% apart. I doubt it's going to go much further than that. A win by 3%, 5%, or even 10% simply means you were lucky enough to edge ahead. So if tomorrow I hear the president-elect talking about having a mandate from the people, he will lose whatever respect I might have left for him.
Not I'm holding out much hope of any kind of bipartisanship. Best I see either way is slogging ahead hoping we can at least make two steps forward for each step back. Bush, Kerry, doesn't matter. Things are screwed up and no matter who is president only time is going to give any chance of getting things fixed. I'll be happy if we can simply have Congress and whatever administration we get keep the stupidity to a minimum.
