Character questions meme

Stole this from databank who stole it from Ary:
1. Pick one of my characters, any one.
2. I will tell you the origin of his/her/it's name.
3. I will tell you five random facts surrounding his/her/it's creation.
4. I will give you one random fact of his/her/it's backstory.
5. I will give you one random fact of his/her/it's forestory.
6. You may ask me up to ten questions about the character (but if a question is too spoiler-y I'll respond with gibberish or a dirty limerick or something)
7. If you place this in your journal, I will return the favor.

Admittedly I don't have near as many characters to choose from. Although, I do have some old characters that haven't been used in some time, predating in fact my access to the internet. I will be impressed if anyone asks about those.

Avatar the Last Airbender directed by who?!

So the word on the street is that there will be a live action Avatar the Last Airbender movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

All I can say is, please, no twist ending. Well that and, please take the time to get what the source material is about. Okay also, please have some people on hand to make sure the bending martial arts don't look like people who have taken drugs waving their arms about randomly (some of what's in the show is nice, some of it is uh, less than nice).

Done well this could make for a nice fantasy movie. If not, prime MST3K material.

Not all of dinner's experiment was successful

Time for an admission.

Dinner's gravy experiment... failed.

This makes the (number lost) time I have failed in the attempt to make a proper roux. Although I hoping that maybe, just maybe, this time it might have been the proportion of roux to liquid that was off. That is I still didn't quite cook it long enough to get rid of all of the flour taste.

Gosh darn you to heck roux! One of these days I shall master you, and then you shall bow down before me and become many tasty sauces!
