Ouch. Sounds like that has an unpleasant story behind it.
Meanwhile I'm not a beer person. Got exposed to the smell of spoiled beer as a kid, and now even when it's not bad I still in my head smell that beer that got poured over the hood of the car (and while we were not at home, so no choice but to drive home to drive before it could be washed off).
Heh. I'm reminded of the panel about making cordials that was held the day I had a chance to try one. At one point discussion got on the subject of brewing and someone mentioned having some awful honey mead. "Wait, they gave you two month old honey mead? The only reason to drink mead that young is if you want to get drunk and don't care about the hangover you'll get." (Hmm, might have been two-week old mead).
