Braille displays

lilfluffI'm hoping someone out there has some good information on Braille displays. Does anyone know of a Braille display that can be hooked up to a computer that only costs in the range of around $1000 or less? Even a 20 or 40 character display would be great so long as it was affordable.
We thought we had spotted one that would only be $1400, but it would also require purchasing nearly $800 in software to go with it.
