Basic electronics help?
Sep. 4th, 2006 03:49 amAnyone local willing to share some basic household electrical skills? I have a lamp with a busted socket switch that I would like to fix instead of throwing out. Skimming through some web pages this looks like a pretty simple task. That said, I'd prefer to have someone with experience ready to slap me up the back of the head if I started to do anything stupid.

I think I'll change it over to a push-through switch. At least change it to something other than a three-way switch (I've switched most of them over to fluorescent bulbs anyway, which don't do three way).
