It's strange. I've always considered myself a cat person rather than a dog person (some bad experiences with neighbor dogs when I was still only about knee high). But dang, foxes are cute.
I mean check out Sagittor's picture Mother and Cub III. Cute. Or from the same person a picture titled, Get Ready. I mean really, just look at that cute fellow.
And those are just your every day red foxes. Fennec foxes... Oh my, don't look at this cute sleepy fellow in Kyoto if the ones above were too cute for you. Or this baby fennec in Korea. Those ears! Or this cute sleeping Fennec couple at the Phoenix zoo.
I'm not sure when exactly it happened. But somewhere along the way this cat guy became a fox guy. Hopefully I won't in a few decades become the male equivalent of the crazy cat lady. "Police and animal control report today that a local man was found to have forty-two foxes in his apartment. Neighbors say, 'He was quiet, but he always seemed nice. Confused, but nice.'"
