Summary: Kyle and his band of heroes in training put a sneaky plan into play...
Perched on Lydia's shoulder Kyle watched as Tamitha and Rodrick carefully guided the unconscious guards' bodies to the ground then dragged them into the nearby bushes. Slowly the moved forward into the isolated camp. He was glad to see that all stayed on their toes. It seemed his warnings about the Dread God Murphy and the That's Why He's Called The Enemy tenet had taken hold.
Keeping to the shadows they eased around, their prior observation of the roaming guards' patterns allowing them to slip through gaps. None of the guards deviated from their patterns and none of the camps inhabitants took any unexpected walks. Tightening his grip on Lydia's shoulder he kept scanning the camp.
"I don't like this."
"It is all going to plan." Lydia softly answered the whisper he hadn't realized he'd spoken.
"Murphy hates that."
There was one guard in front of the tent they wanted, but none behind it. Jules slipped quietly up to the tent and with a little careful knife work loosened the back enough to crawl in. Kyle had almost overruled Jules' volunteering and slipped in himself. But even if he was far smaller then Jules he still couldn't read the local languages well enough to search properly for the plans. So for a few tense minutes they waited until Jules slipped out once more. A scroll momentarily held up to show them he'd found what they were there for.
Sneaking out left him even more tense than sneaking in. There just wasn't any way he could conceive of the unconscious guards not having been found yet. But when they approached the gate there were no new guards. It hadn't even lasted long enough for the rest of their band to need to put the diversion ploy into play. Back together they made they way through the woods to their camp.
"It was too easy."
"Too easy?" Jules laughed, "You weren't the one who had to search a tent with a guard right outside. Come on, calm down, it all went according to plan, what can go wrong now?"
"Don't say--!"
"Exactly." Came a new voice before Kyle could finish his scold. "It all went exactly to plan. Our plan. Take our agent, kill the rest."

This would take place after One For the Road and before Fade to Black. Cliffhanger? What cliffhanger?
