"Calling" for assistance

I am once again pondering the possibility of getting a cell phone, so I've got a few questions.

• Can I get some thoughts on how the different companies services are working here in the Scottsdale/Phoenix/Tempe area? I'm got this worry about picking up a really nice phone, only to discover it doesn't work anywhere but on the roof at work.


• Does anyone know if there's such a thing as a speaker phone attachment for cell phones?


• And for what is obviously the most important question. How easy is it to set midi's of your choice as ring tones? (I think some of the phones use midi for that) :}

Just what I need. Something else to figure out how to plug in and charge. :)

We seem to get pretty good coverage with T-mobile...it doesn't always work inside buildings, but we do get good coverage in our house. (This was an issue at our previous house with our previous provider...not sure how much was the location and how much was the provider.)

Indeed there are speakerphone attachments you can get. There are ones made specifically for your phone, and there are also generic ones sold at kiosks in Arizona Mills, along with things for attaching the phone to your car dashboard.

That depends entirely on the phone. My phone can't do that at all.
