Well, not much was happening T.H.E.M.wise last Friday if you weren't going to Harry Potter 3. So after a while of people hanging around occasionally asking, "So, ah, anybody hungry?" The group split up in various directions including off to Fiddlesticks for a bit of DDR.

It was my first time. It was not pretty (I think the virtual crowd was eventually annoyed enough to throw virtual tomatoes at me). But it was fun. Much fun. Enough fun to have me looking up how much a PS2 + DDR + dance pad would cost. Not going to swing it on the current paycheck (Paycheck + Rent Check = Empty Wallet), but certainly another strong reason to consider actually getting a current game system.

Just a suggestion, but the pad that comes with DDR MAx 2 sux hard. Spend the extra fourty to seventy dollars to get a good pad that won't break the first time out.

Well, with that advice from someone I know as well as people on amazon (I seem to recall one of the amazon reviewers said they had the bundled pad die after only a week) I'll keep that in mind.

Hmm... DDRFreaks has an article on self-upgrading pads with plywood plastic and packing tape...
