Lost another great

According to newsfromme.com Frank Kelly Freas passed away in his sleep this morning. He did covers for quite a few major science fiction authors, and covers for MAD magazine. I never met him, but based on what I've heard about him I would dearly love to have done so.

Doing further research, at the official Kelly Freas web site it is mentioned that he was an official NASA artist as well. Commissioned by the Skylab I astronauts to design their crew patch.
