Apr. 24th, 2005 11:22 pmSo, what the heck has been happening in my life recently?
- Ordered cable internet
- Pushed up the pace on the treadmill.
- Discovered Cryptic Crosswords
- Paid taxes.
- Stumbled upon a new show
Yep, finally decided to enter the world of broadband. Helped that they offered a plan that was priced near what regular dialup costs. Of course it didn't work for the first week. It turns out whoever originally ran the cable line to the apartment decided to use screw down connectors on the coax rather than a proper coax connection. Of course back in the 80's that probably didn't matter. I won't be surprised if the line leads to more trouble later.
Unfortunately I also cut back the time. Still I have lost a few pounds. Nothing worth bragging about, but not that long until there will be bragging conditions.
I have usually found regular American style crosswords to be pretty dull. While we Americans may have invented the crossword puzzle, the world can thank the English for taking it to the next level. Ordinary 'dictionary definition' clues are replaced with clues that add a second level to the puzzle. So what's my current opinion of Cryptic Crosswords:
Confused facts ain't a review (9)Five fluff points to the first commenter to solve for the opinion.
Ouch. Ow. Whimper. That pretty much sums it up.
Not sure exactly when Cartoon Network started showing Zatch Bell. Don't know why I find myself wanting to catch more, it looks like your pretty standard monster fighter show, but something in it seems good. I'll have to find a review somewhere.
